But alas, even with all his godly gifts and grade-A gumption, they alone aren't enough to sway the masses to the theaters. It’s hard to believe that after director David F. Sandberg’s first amazing outing with Shazam! that his follow-up, Shazam! Fury of the Gods, would be anything less than spectacular. But if one were to take to the sacred domain of online film critiques, the arbiters of Fresh and Rotten would gleefully tell you that Mr. Sandberg fell painfully short of that once bright prospect. However, I tell you now that nothing could be further from the truth as Shazam! Fury of the Gods, although not perfect, is still a great time at the theater and in my opinion, better than its predecessor...
